Default 3M Film Cleaning

The 3M film on my hood has impressions left from the petals of a dogwood tree. The petals laid on my car for about 4 days. The petals were a pain to wash off. After getting them off the car, the painted surfaces were clean but the petals left marks on the 3M film which I have not been able to remove. Does anyone know of a product that could help? (I've tried polish, windex, even a little adhesive remover and the marks remain.)

Have you posted this in the Car Care and Concours forum here on RL?
IIRC, this has been asked/answered in that forum before.

You might also search www.autopia.org ?

Try Plast-X. Works like a charm on all plastic surfaces.

I've been able to polish out minor blemishes on my paint films with a swirl mark remover like Poor Boys SSR2 or 3 and a Porter Cable 7424, and a 4” Yellow pad, on speeds from ~4 working up to 6.

If you don’t have a Porter Cable, still give it a shot with a swirl mark remover of your choosing and a MF towel or applicator pad. HTH

Default Problem solved

Thank you for your recommendations. FYI, I was able to remove the marks from the 3M film by using Meguiar's #17 Plastic Cleaner and about 45 minutes of elbow grease.
