Default Knocked out three mods...

Spent Sunday clearing off my workbench, which included installing the iPorsche iPod adaptor, which is mod one; swapped out the CD holder for a cubby (which I used to route the iPod cable), which is mod 2; and for mod 3, I wrapped the console pieces with carbon fiber cloth, to get the CF look I like (I know, it's not for everyone)... Anyway, here are a couple of pics (excuse the mess, I took the shots right after I buttoned up the installs...)

The first shot is the shelf, the iPod cable and the wrapped console pads. The next is a wider shot of the CF wrapped pads.

Not too bad - the thing that took the most time was getting to it and getting the radio code. Turns out I didn't need it since I never disconnected the radio from power. If you do a search on iPorsche iPod - you can get to it... I think you can order it by an email to euclid@mail.utexas.edu. Anyway, after you get all the pads off, it's a matter of splicing into hot and ground, then plugging a cord into the back of the radio and setting AUX to ON...

Thanks! I know I'd get these things done a lot quicker if I didn't hold the car in such reverence... I end up analyzing the thing six ways to Sunday before I muster up the confidence to get to it - although I am getting better, it took me about five weeks to muster up the courage to change out the pumpkins, a little less than that for the amberectomy and even less to do the iPod adaptor... My next adventure is installing the 5" woofers into the doors - pulling the door panel off is scaring the bejesus out of me...

I'm in the middle of a stereo install myself and took the door panels off last night. It's not nearly as bad as it might seem. Good luck w/ the rest of your mods.
