PLEASE
Loren has good DIY info on his site, but here are the part #s I have

Seat Belt Repair Kit #000 043 204 32
included in kit are parts #996 803 183 10 Passenger side buckle
#996 803 183 09 Drivers side buckle
#000.043.204.31 wiring harness x2, looks like an updated ground (brown) wire with heat shrink connector covers.

This kit may have been superseded by a later kit, as this one has been sitting on shelf for a couple of years.

So, when the light comes on (fault being belt ground) air bags will NOT work.......after clearing fault the light goes out and now the air bags WILL work?

+1 on the changing out the receptacles. It's not that hard, just takes some time to fish the wiring out of the seat and string up the new one. Other than that, it's not a bad DIY.

I had to swap receptacles from my old stock seats to the Sports that I bought and it was pretty easy.

You will need a durametric to shut the airbag light off.

No no no!!
Even with the airbag light on, air bag will deploy.

Loren meant you should still repair the problem.

I spilled an ice coffee all over the passenger floor of my 02 c4s and the light went on for a few seconds and then turned off. I'm hoping that this isn't the start of a chain of unfortunate events
