VeloTech of Paso Robles also was working on a Targa conversion based on a cab body. It is looks like it may more of an easy on/off install similar to the cab's factory hardtop.

totally agree - that top looks chopped, but it looks damn good!!

+1, the name has to go as well.

Another thing.... its supposed to be a speedster? or a targa concept? .... or both. Im sold on the targa concept, but it needs to be a 2+2 design or a 2 seater speedster design... not both.

I had an '80 SC targa that I dearly loved. After having a Cab I don't see the point. Hit a button and no roof. Stupidly simplistic. In any event, Like Ruf's version. Looks cool. His firm does execute its designs very well indeed.

The problem with the Cab is that it looks BUTT UGLY with the top up...

As it would spend more of the time hereabouts.

As an owner of 2003 targa I don't see the appeal of having to remove and store the roof. Just this evening I was out for drive and it just start to come down hard in a couple of seconds the roof was closed.

You probably have to own one, or have owned one, to fully understand. And the true Targa does add a bit more "head" room.

Those other pics look a bit better, and clearly it's a soft window which is cool.
Early soft window Targas have gone up in value a lot, so why not bring it back again.

Of course the Ruf could probably blow that soft window out at Autobahn speeds, but that's beside the point.

I am not so sure how I would feel with that little shifter in my hand... I kind of felt like I should go take a shower in bleech or something... EWE

are you supposed to extend the pinky when shifting?
