Bad shudder when braking, but no steering wheel vibration
When braking moderately hard at highway speeds I am getting a very noticeable shudder/rumble when applying the pedal, but no shake at the steering wheel (already changed the front rotors a little while back).
I've also noticed a slight chirping noise from the rear at low speed when the brakes aren't applied, and the braking seems quite uneven & grabby when coming to a stop from even very low speed.
Could this be a warped rear rotor (they've been turned before), or a parking brake in need of adjustment - or both?

I've read that re-bedding the rears is difficult since it requires the fronts to get to the point of lock-up to generate the required friction in back. Or are you referring to re-bedding the fronts? I'd think any amount of pad deposition in front would create some steering wheel shake.
And do I really need Hawk Blues to do this or will my existing (stock) pads be up to it? Buying a set of Hawks isn't much less expensive than simply getting new rear rotors from Suncoast.
Thanks for the input.
