Default Airbox Help

I think I messed up and lost a piece of the stock airbox which I now need to re-install.

Can someone who has a 996 check on their airbox and send me a picture of the area around their maf? I think there's supposed to be a spacer or something between the actual maf sensor and the airbox because the way it is now, the maf really doesn't want to screw in, and there's some open gaps around the sensor as well, the end result being my car doesn't want to run (or barley idles for that matter).

I checked on my PET but its showing an "Item 12" with no part number in the catalogue :'(

Omar,

Are you missing the O-ring? My PET has part #12 listed as an O-ring. The part number 986 606 925 00.

hmm..ok i'm definitly missing the O-Ring and maybe that's why it isn't sealing properly.

i could have sworn there was also a plastic piece that goes in between where the o-ring and the airbox are, but i could be wrong and that might just be for the EVOMS intake.

i'll go order the o-ring and then try again i guess. (funny, the car runs and idles fine with the maf disconnected, but won't run with the maf in and the small air leak)
