Default PSC and ABS Dropout

I have a 2001 C2 Triptonic with about 37000 miles. In both the Auto and manual modes the PSC and ABS both drop out during hard acceleration. My response at this point is to pull over and shut down; where both systems reset. I have talked to the local Porsche mechanics and their comment was that the PSC system is a big power draw on the electric systems and a place to start would be the alternator belt tightness or maybe a defective alternator. I checked that out with no go. One thought I had was that the ABS system is probably the initiator and without ABS signals PSC just throws a fault and shuts down. Any ideas?

1. check your brake lights - afaulty brake light switch can cause this.
2. Check your MAF sensor readings - clean and/or replace it as needed.
