Default Help to identify loose part

Hey all,

I was in the process of placing in my DAS roll bar to mock up the install and be sure I had all the fasteners, etc into my '01 Cab (before I take it to my local shop for the install).

So, I pull up the carpet (where the base of the roll bar would sit) to make sure it will pull up far enough for the base of the roll bar base to sit (so I don't have to cut the carpet or drill holes in it).

Lo and behold, I find a nice shiney ball bearing sitting under the carpet.
Upon further inspection, I find the same ball bearing sitting under the drivers seat (but above the carpet).

I'm not the original owner of this car so perhaps the previous owner(s) did some work on it?

I can understand a loose item under the driver seat.
But how on God's good Earth does something like this get under the carpet?!

Any idea where these bearings would go?
Or, are they just foreign objects from a previous owner?

The one under the carpet would have done no harm.
But the one under the seat.
Just imagine that one rolling around during a DE!

Thanks in advance.

Maybe from the seat belt retractor assembly?

I think they're just foreign objects.
