Congratulations on picking up, IMHO, the best designed 911 aero to date. These cars run better the more they are driven. Its a very nicely optioned car. Just missing a few cheap mods.
1. B&M short shift $199 shipped and 1hr DIY
2. PSE hack on your mufflers. $150?
These two mods will enhance your enjoyment to what is already an excellent ride.
Welcome!

Three Wheelin'
Tim. I think you are right again! I checked and the metal housing under the seat front secured to the seat runners feels like the part displayed in the picture on the right.
Jordan nice care sounds like a fun trip with your Dad.
Check under the seats and maybe one of them is missing that is your extra part. I can see someone finding it after they reinstalled the sea and saying. I'm not gonna take this seat out to put that piece back in.

Very nice low miles car! Enjoy the "new car" experience - I still do!
What, no "watch out, this car wasn't driven, low miles garage queens should be avoided, etc, etc" warnings??

Great looking P-car! Welcome to Rennlist as an owner- nice acquisition story and very cool Dad to help you on her maiden voyage. Can't wait to see more pics after you clean her up. Interior shots next?

Great looking car and what a thrill to have your dad along for the maiden trip.
As mentioned by the other contributors, the part on the right attaches to the seat housing to cover the electricals. I discovered the identical part after 3 months of ownership - the plastic clip that secures it to the seat was broken and I ordered a replacement from the local dealership for approximately $24.00 and they also installed it (3 mins) for free.
Enjoy the ride!

Great purchase and color (I'm partial to black!). As some have said, it's breathtaking when clean, but a bitch to keep it that way!
Go put some miles on that beauty!

Great story, good bonding with your father, and what a way to get to know your new Porsche. Your 911 looks very nice! These cars love to get dirty so don't keep it too clean.Nice to see yet another 'black' coupe.

Thank you all for the kind words, I really appreciate it.
Tim - Thank you not only for coming out of retirement but also for pointing out where that piece goes.
Chao - The B&M shifter is on my short list (no pun intended) of things to do to the car. I've read a little about the PSE hack, but need to dig up the threads again to see what all is involved. I definitely would not be opposed to hearing the engine better. On the other hand, anybody know of a good deal on some used Fabspeeds?
Ski - I was able to give the car a bath this afternoon. Hopefully I can get some more pics later on. I would love a nice rolling shot. Here are some interior pictures Chad sent me while we were negotiating. They don't do it justice, this natural leather is stunning in person! I could do without the wood inserts, but maybe that is an acquired taste?

Congrats and thanks for the photos. I love the interior on that car, and the factory aero package makes it special. Enjoy it!
