Default Cabrio Hard Top Hoist

I recently setup my new hardtop hoist and wanted to share a picture.

Being a little bit handy, I decided to save some coin and buy 2 bike hoists from Lowes (around $25 each) and setup my own system. They work great - just thought I'd pass it along to anyone else with a hardtop!

Cheers!

That came out great! And solves one of my quandaries. I've been wanting a hardtop for my cab... the wife even thinks that would be a good idea, but the prospect of having to store so large a part has been an obstacle... I 've seen some hoists, but your approach looks like it does the job at a fraction of the cost...

Nice job!

I tried something like that but it really was a 2-man job. One to control the top as the other guides it into position. Rather than risk screwing up the car I went for a top hoist by E-Z-Top which has a reduced gear motor so you have super control of it.
