I just noticed wood trim on a steering wheel and by the radio for a car online. That's not normally there, is it? Was that part of a package, or a random upgrade/downgrade?
If it's factory it's an option. It would be an upgrade for sure, like the Alumalook, CF..etc
Seems like the wood is either a love it or hate it kind of thing.
We have the wood package in the Cayenne, and it is quite nice. That being said, I don't think I would like it as much in the Carrera. I'd rather have carbon fiber.
yeah it's a red interior car, which I think is awesome, but with wood trim looks tacky IMO. I like the CF trim more. To me fake wood in a sports car just doesnt work
edit: so i guess along w this trim question, can you visably see the diff bw the supple leather and normal leather from pics? It seems most listings make no mention of it with the rare exception of a couple porsche dealers
Oh awesome thanks guys! I immediately was thinking something was wrong w some cars bc nearly identical ones would have some seats looking mint and others looking all wrinkly. Didnt realize that was actually better!

Well, the supple leather does cost more as it is an additional option on top of the full leather seats (vs. leather seating surfaces) option. Whether you think it looks better after a few years or not, is a matter of opinion. BTW, it was possible to get full leather seats, front and rear, without the supple leather option, but few cars were ordered that way.

For supple leather with extensive dark wood (3-spoke steering wheel, shift ****, emergency brake, center console, instrument surround, door pulls and door pocket covers), see attached pix:

Okay good pic thanks. It's not really my style, but I think it does look nice there. I saw it paired with boxster red interior, and the red/brown combo just didnt look right
