I've seen setups like that for wheel alignments.

I think they're mainly used in car shows to show off brakes. Another reason they're soo short is because generally the other 3 wheels are still on the car when they're used.

I could see a use for a taller version though. However most of the time, I still see jack stands as "more" useful. Maybe that's because I'm always changing suspension stuff though which could not be done with this type of stand.

Hi,

No offense, but what is the point of that contraption? It doesn't raise the car enough for you to work on. To use it, you need to raise the car off the ground and remove all the wheels. It doesn't seem any safer than jackstands, and it will take a lot longer to use than jackstands. When the car is supported like that you can't work on the suspension either.

I would stick with a good jack and jackstands, or a good garage lift.

Barry

You could take all your tires off so they don't flatspot between drives.

Thats what they are.... now that I think about it, its a good way to show off some parts....

Ed:
Im just brain storming.... need to come up with a widget so I can retire. Good to know you can make custom parts...

Barry ... no offense taken

Maurice... theres cheaper widgets out there for that.
