Did you ever have the front bumper re-painted?
How many miles did your car have in this pic?

JD,

I think I had only about 20K miles on the car when that pic was taken. No, I never did have my front bumper repainted. The reason why is because it was a lease and I didn't want to incur the expense if I was not going to buy it at lease end.

By the end of the lease, I did have a lot of small stone chips on the front bumper cover and if I had decided to keep the car, I would have had the bumper cover repainted.

The following pics were taken with about 42K miles on the car. As you can see, the front bumper cover looked like it had been sand blasted. This was the only real "blemish" area on the paint, and would have been easily remedied. The first pic was taken from about 5 or 6 feet from the car. The other 3 pics were shot from about 2 feet from the bumper cover.

The reason I took these shots was becase I was trying to sell the car and if someone from out of town was interested, I could send them the pics so they would know the facts up front (no pun intended).

I was thinking of a 997.2 C2S Coupe with:

B4 - Carrara White
FE - Sea Blue Full Leather (or 07 - Carrera Red Full Leather)
267 - Self Dimming Mirrors
176 - Sport Exhaust System
P17 - PASM Sports Suspension Package
XRR - 19" Carrera Sport Wheel
810 - Floor Mats in Interior Color
342 - Heated Seats
P15 - Power Comfort Seats with Driver Memory
CUV - Storage Compartment Lid with Model Logo
CDZ - Gear Lever Trim in Leather
XMZ - Rear Center Console in Leather
XMZ - Thicker 3-Spoke Steering Wheel Smooth Leather
982 - Supple Leather Front and Rear
CXB - Door Entry Guards in Stainless Steel
68 - BOSE High End Sound Package

But I really haven't given it much thought!

I think white / blue would be awesome!

although I love the dark colors, the whole "rock chipped nose" thing has me thinking lighter and its OBVIOUS Tim hasn't thought about that one AT ALL!!

Yeah my nose, well my car's nose, is all chipped up too and a lighter colour would be less 'worriesome' but dark cars are soooo nice. Nice to know that this degree of wear is normal.....

Tim, we all look up to you here, especially us newbies, so please, once you get a chance to consider all possible options, let us know 'k?
