Red face One funny thing...

From me wrecking my 911 this weekend.

The wrecker service driver that came to pick it up came back to the car I was sitting in and said he was having trouble getting the car to unlock the steering so he could put it on the roll back. I went up to see what he was doing wrong...

He had the key in the console lock.

I asked him if he thought that is where you put the key to crank it and his reply was...

"I ain't never seen one of these fancy cars before."

So I put the key in the ignition, helped him put in the tow hooks Fore and Aft and watched very carefully as he pulled the car onto the rollback.

Lesson learned. Watch folks towing your Porsche.

I just saw your post about spinning out. Did they total out the car? This thread sounds like it, but the last sounds like it was just some small cosmetic damage

The car is far from totaled. Luckily I was only going 30mph or so when it spun. Just the passenger side Rear, rear bumper, front bumper and maybe some on the passenger front side. (it sort of tapped the rail twice.) If I had both hands on the wheel (I had just downshifted) I would have likely recovered the initial slip. With one hand on the wheel though, I jerked the wheel and over corrected so it spun the opposite direction.

Upside is that if there isn't a huge difference in the price, I am going to put an aero kit front bumper and maybe a gt3 rear. Dealer is going to quote me on both.

Oh well that's good news. Glad to hear it wasn't anything more serious!
