Default 2002 PCM1 Stereo upgrade with bose option

Hello,

I have a 2002TT with PCM1 and factory Bose - no Most version, the classical copper variant .
If I change to an aftermarket unit like the Pioneer AVIC F900BT or similar, do the input levels to the Bose amplifier need to be adjusted by using an adapter like for example a Dietz interface ?

I changed the headunit in one of my cars, a Mercedes S class and there I discovered the need of an adapter for the voltage levels.

Any qualified statement would be appreciated.

Thanks
Peter

Nope, I put a AVIC-Z in my 02 with bose, no issues and no Dietz interface needed. Just a custom wiring so I would not have to cut any factory wires.

Marc, thanks for the info, that's exactly the info I needed.
Redridge, it's not lowered, that's the standard setup in Europe. There would be a sport package which sets the car even lower, but I decided to got the standard suspension way with tiptronic - I drive around a lot in cities.
