Default Amber to Clear Idicator Lights

Does anyone have a source for changing out the amber colored side indicator light to clear ones. I also think that the bulb will need changing as well if you do this mod...

Help appreciated

Order the part from Sunset Imports Porsche Parts, pull the old lenses (bulbs come with it), plug in the new ones. Takes 5 minutes max!

Should run you around $30 for the pair and 5' labor. Even I could do this mod.

Well, you ARE a doctor - I would expect you could do it - then bill the HMO!

Yup I think Suncoast has the best price. You're right - it helps to change the bulb too... I got silverized amber (it's silver looking until they go on, then they glow amber) bulbs from autolumination.com... $3 each...

We stock the oem clears as well, they come standard with amber bulb and can be swapped with clear bulb from your old amber sidemarker too.

Not sure on everyone else's pricing, most dealers charge $49+ per set, so you can save a few bucks since ours are less money ($46 vs $49).

Yeah, but I'm a pediatrician, so I don't do many procedures. And I can bill the HMOs forever, and they still pay nothing. I'm good at drawing blood - so are the HMOs.

Eric, Suncoast is advertising them at $29.95 per set for the 996 or 997. I'm assuming that includes the bulbs.

Go to their site, and add the item to your cart. $29 is for 997/987. 996/986 carries a $20 upcharge. The site is a bit misleading as they show 'clear sidemarkers' with the lower price, but 996/986 carries a higher price when you put it in your cart.

If you add the 996 variant to your cart, the total is $49, NOT $29.

Okay so I get that installation is easy, but how do you make the replacement?

I am not sure I understand your question. You don't "make" the replacement, you buy a pair of side markers that have clear lenses. Order them from Eric, he is a Rennlist site sponsor.

Thanks for the clarification Eric - I stand corrected!!

If this is the same part, they are $20/ea at Pelican for the 996.
