I'll be taking my car out today for some kind of ride, snow or not! I will NOT let the battery die when I have Porsche approved Snow/Winter tires on!

Today wasn't as bad as it could have been, but it was snowing heavily here when I got up this morning, so that would have stopped me heading North.

I just went to work to grab some paperwork so that I can work at home tomorrow... the latest forecast (guess!) is that they're saying we should get around 14" of snow... I'll believe it when I see it and I'll be amazed if we get more than 5", but it doesn't hurt to be ready. I even moved the snowblower from the garden shed into the garage just in case I need to use it for the first time this season.

Nope. I fired it up in November to check that all was well, then haven't even bothered to put fuel in it. The snow we've had to date wasn't worth the hassle to get it out.

To be honest the snow we've had so far this year has been pretty feeble - a few storms of a couple of inches each time - hardly worth the effort of getting the thing out. When it comes to a couple of inches of snow it's easier and faster to use a snow shovel to clear the driveway.

Well, I'm hoping for a good storm, but last time I looked outside it hadn't even started snowing yet... I find it hard to believe that we're going to get 14" dumped on us by lunchtime when it hasn't started yet.

I'm willing to bet that it will be more in the range of 3-5" at most.

...nope, still nothing here. Interesting that we're further south and it hasn't hit yet.

I went in to work to grab some extra work just in case... at least it allows me thee freedom to stay home and sit it out on the remote chance that they do get it right. The weather guys here were saying that the snow should have started at least 3 hours ago and that we would have heavy snow through tomorrow lunchtime. Those guys crack me up.... their magic 8ball is screwed up and they're too stupid to get it right even hours before they say the event is due to start.

I think that you'll make your meeting.

Ed,

You need to find someone who has a durametric tool and run a diagnostic on your car. Find out which set of seat belt and harness wiring is causing the fault.

Call up Sunset and order the parts per my part numbers. You have to replace the seatbelt wiring harness and the recepticles. After that, you need the durametric to turn the airbag light off. Normal OBDII diagnostic tool will not be able to turn it off.

Marc,

After checking my pcar parts bin, I only have 2 extra harnesses and no extra seat belt recepticles. I would be happy to send it to you as per Sunset cost. Will attach my invoice with it.
