OEM. Less than $100. Well worth it.

Only neg I see, is it lowers the profile a bit... maybe 1/2" im guessing. If your car has been lowered... more so with the shield.

Only issue you may encounter is perhaps when chainging the oil. There is an opening for the plug, but if the car is not flat, the oil may drain at an angle and spill on the top inside surface of the plate. The plate is easy to take off and back on if that were to be an issue. It is a nice extra protection.

mine is slightly modified... I put an Alum angle strip to make the panel rigid... w/o it, the panel is so big, it flaps.

Yeah, I wondered about that..the Porsche one has stamped grooves in it for rigidity.

I have one as well. It can't hurt (well, unless you cut your hands changing the oil on it from its edges)

I appreciate all the replies, one last question pertaining to the plate. Who makes the best (strongest)one.
and by the way, this is the best forum that I have ever joined. Looking forward to posting more questions. Rock on!

For fit and function you can't go wrong with the $100 OEM one. As far as strongest, I am not sure since i have seen ZERO test data on that.
