Many nice 2000 Boxsters are available for $15-19K
I just bought a 2001 with 39k miles 2 nights ago and paid $28.9k I have been scouting the auto trader for sometime now also looking for a deal. This was the best one I found. FWIW. But good luck to the OP in the search!

I'm looking for a '95 993 for $9,000.

I've heard there's a stigma with those because they were "the first of the last of the aircooled."

I think you should try for $5k for a '95 (less horsepower too).

There are lots of great 99's out there of course but for those dollars you likely won't get one. I'd take a 99 with a reman engine before an 00 or even an 01 on it's original motor FWIW.

I always like to keep people honest, so I'll point out that some '99s do indeed have e-gas and PSM.

Yes, the C4 was e-gas. All other 99s are not e-gas.

I traded mine 4 months ago and I think you should be able to come very close to your price/mileage requirements. Just look as much as you can and you should find something.

Had the OP mentioned he was looking for a C4 my post would have read differently.

I must say I am completely dissapointed in you JW. You began predictably by trying to offer evidence to back up your claim an '00 could be had for $17k and I was expecting to sit back and watch the fireworks, yet you've had the gall to join in on the laughter with your last post, totally ruining it for me. Why couldn't you have just been blindly defensive in your position, adding fuel to the fire? I guess I'll have to wait for the next one. It's been a long slow winter.

By the way, if my car ever get's down in value below $20k and I need to sell, I won't. I'll part the whole darn thing out.

You and "carmax" are ballers and def. dictate the market, especially because carmax buys cars that are 9 years old, not. Dude, you get more with honey than with salt or whatever the heck it is your mamma taught you to serve up. YOUR NEW NAME IS "YAK", go buy an old m3 and write to us. Also, who's picture is on your avatar? Surely, that's not something you aquired....... he he.

It's a '97 C2S, we can't all afford the latest and the greatest - I'm guessing yours in a 1999.
