An Italian big brother for my 996

Thanks for the comments guys. I've been in Phoenix for the Fiesta Bowl (Hook 'Em Horns!) and I am just getting time to reply now.
In response to the requests for my first impressions of the Ferrari, I've put over 1000 miles on it so far and I can only say...
It's awesome. Like, crazy-awesome. Like, really-crazy-awesome.
The power, the ride, the sound, the response from other drivers, all off the charts. I just couldn't love this car any more. If you have the means to get one, either now or someday in the future, don't hesitate. It's worth every penny and more.
As for the comparison to my other rides... they are all so different that a side-by-side comparison gets a little apples-vs-oranges. I will say that the one area that the F-car doesn't shine as brightly is in the fit and finish. My Aston is, by far, much superior in that regard. The attention to detail is incredible and unlike anything I have ever seen. And my 996, even for a mass-produced sports car, I think the fit and finish is very well done. The Ferrari is all about the engine. Yes, it's gorgeous as well, but the attention to detail is all focused on performance. The rest of the car? Not so much. You should see the 1" wide rubber window strips. Just an embarrassment for a car at this price point.
As for how I decide what to drive every morning, believe it or not, I seem to drive my Tundra the most. But they all get time in the rotation. They are just so different that I enjoy them all in very different ways.
I want to be clear about one thing: nobody here should be ashamed of their 996 in a line-up like this. I still LOVE my Porsche. And while it is not as fast as the Ferrari or Aston, and while the finish of the Aston blows it away, and while the response from other drivers is muted at best... I could still make a very strong argument that my 996 is the most fun to drive overall. There is just something about a well-tuned Porsche that is unique to the marque.
So the next time you pull up alongside a $300,000 "supercar", don't even think about hanging your head. You may very well be having the best time behind the wheel...
Again, thanks for the nice comments.

Great weather, great food, a highly educated population, beautiful lakes, live music, friendly people, reasonable cost of living... it's the exact opposite of the northeast. I lived in Manhattan and Greenwich, CT for 10 years and I promise you, I am NEVER going back. Austin is such a great town.

lol. The move to Austin was 100% lifestyle.

I've heard that, but the commute would be a bitch.
I like the idea of living in Texas, but actually living there would probably drive me nuts... I'm too embedded in the Northeast mentality.

I love to visit TX, but I think it would drive me mental to live there.
It's a pity, as a large part of my industry is based down there and I just know that it stands a good chance of happening one day... the more I say "never" the more likely it is to happen.

Nope, within a year you would be wondering why you didn't do it 10 years earlier.
Marc,
With a name like Gelefsky there is no hope for you of ever becoming a Texan!
Just kidding!

Love the Ferrari color combo! Wow! I usually like 'em red, but the red interior goes so great with the exterior.
How do you ever decide what to drive? I'd love to have that problem - congrats and have fun with your new addition.

You will like Texas, been living here 10 years.
