I'm currently on a road trip up PCH and had to use the emergency trunk release last night to get my keys out of the front storage area. s

How do you get the latch to reset itself? If I press down on the hood it will go downward, but the latch will not engage to lock and hold the hood down.

 

its probalay bound up, Your going to have to pull the black cover over the latch (turn the 4 hold downs with a flat head 90 degrees) then remove and then use the screw driver to move the e-release back to the side.

I just referred Nicolaas to you with a question on the P0704 error code - what would cause it and how difficult it is to fix. I'd never heard of that code before.
