Those look very nice. I was even thinking, I bet they would be nice in black (painted) too for black cars....

Thanks for pics!

I agree on the bumperettes. They look great on Wellard's white 996. BTW Wayne, I meant that with a growing family, if you shell out $100K for the BMW or Porsche, your wife will leave you. Hence, the need for her replacement! Sorry for the obscure reference.

Oh, is that what you meant. You totally lost me.

As for the car, well, there are two important factors.
i) my wifey has already given permission for the next car.
ii) I never buy new - I prefer others to take the initial hit on depreciation and will buy the car from them 18 months to 2 years later - my father is like your brother. I've seen him burn through too many expensive cars and waste money on depreciation for me to play the same game.

Considering that the M3 sedan and the 2010 Panamera are relatively new it will be a while before I get the new set of keys.

When you buy the Panamera in around 2011-12, your kids will be old enough to leave a 1/2" layer of Cheeze-its on the carpet. Nice!!

Although when you see a 997 in white, you don't wish the bumperettes were black, do you!?

Nope, not me. Do you look at other cars and wished they looked differently?

Yes..... Wayne's!

.... and just once, I would like to see Phil's car with some dirt, rather than dust, on it!

No, not at all. Honestly, I don't go around obsessing about bumperettes and they don't make or break a car for me.

If you're buying a car for the color of the bumperettes, then there's something wrong.

I honestly do believe that the white 996 looks better with black bumperettes, now if it were a bland color like silver, then I might feel differently.

+1

Tim only feels that way because he's not driving a white 996.
