easy fix, did mine last year after my buddy said something when he was following me (flopping in the wind). I think the heat and age just kills it.

All rubber eventually degrades - old age eventually gets to us all. You can prolong the life of your rubber parts by ensuring that they periodically get a fresh dose of plasticizer from products like Armorall.

Good to see this thread resurrected. I eventually solved the problem by removing the rear deck and replacing it with an aero kit wing.

Well, a year later I got to this DIY. I picked up the bellows from a local dismantler, and was able to reuse all the clamps and fasteners (since nothing came with the used bellow).

And after.....the old bellow was stiff and dried out. The replacement was as flexible as a Russian ballerina.

Good job. Many moons ago this was the first fix on my then 99 C2. It was a very satisfying DIY.

I keep checking back to see the flexible Russian ballerina ?
