Default Thinking X74 upgrade from ROW M030

I am contemplating the X74 kit for my 99-01 C2 Carrera, which currently has the ROW M030 suspension kit installed. The kit was Installed less than 250-miles ago. The ride is perfect; however, the car still sits a little too high for me. Will not consider an aftermarket kit so please refrain from those comments.

Any thoughts?

I may be willling to sell the ROW MO30 if anyone is interested.........Im in So. CA. and really don't want the hassle of shipping.........

If you don't want H&R coil overs or PSS 10 (both companies are OEM supplier) then X73 or X74 is for you.

If you consider than the ride is perfect, why go for a stiffer suspension?
I would go for Gemballa springs with the same shocks
As a matter of fact I'm going to lower my car with them

I think my car is too high after installling the RoW M030 too

Some pics from my mechanic Porsche specialist, and he recommends me to do that

You have my attention! These springs you indicate, are they 'matched' w/ the ROW M030 shocks or are they merely 'lowering-springs' from Gamballa? Really would like to know.......
Thank You,

They are lowering springs from Gemballa.

My mechanic told that M030 springs lowers 20 mm front an 10 mm rear.
These Gemballa springs lower 30 mm aprox.

If you go for these springs with stock US suspension they would forcing the stock shocks because they were too much high, but can work with Row M030

They are perfect to fit with shorter shocks (as you can see in the upper pic with yellow shock = Bilstein Sprint)

If you put a coil-over, you can get the car corner balanced.

+1

I only was talking about the cheapest solution
X74 is fantastic or PSS9-10 but he has a new RoW M030 recently installed

Not looking for a 'cheap' solution, just the right "PORSCHE" solution and to my knowledge, ROW M030 / X74 are the only factory choices. One, which I have is perfect - ride wise, but is not quite low enough. The other - X74 is low enough, but does have a more stiff ride, which I'm willing to deal with......

I have the same "problem"

Here is mine:

After installing the RoW M030, lowered 20 mm front and 10 mm rear.
Before this, It was too much taller than I'd like, but after the installation the height didn't pleased me.

That's why I'll probably mount Gemballa springs.

Looks like you're right on the money on your choices. The X73 on my C4S is just the right height. If you don't have bad roads with a lot of potholes or bad expansion joints, the stiffer ride of the X74/73 is not that noticeable. That is, until you bring it to the track. Then that suspension just shines.

juankimalo,
I see your problem too. X74 for me. No aftermarket mix of springs for me. Thanks for you help...........

Thankfully, the sways from ROW are the same in the X74 kit.

I may be interested in buying it from you. Is yours a C2 with manual transmission? I see from your pictures its 996.1
