I like the way it looks. My problem is that I spent 92k in 2004, drove for 20k miles, and the same cars are now being sold for 38k..............I would probably buy a Cayenne s/turbo before the Pano? at least you can tow a boat with the "Pepper".

I really like the look from various front angles, but the back is horrible. Looks like misguided effort to create a station wagon. I would have preferred a little bit of traditional trunk at the rear, about as much as the 6-series BMW.

Like it...

Except for the interior...it needs the "simple" C4S interior.

And why not start with the V6....?? And why not the boxer 6...??

I just received a few photos in the mail today from Porsche. No pricing though. Also, today the dealer sent something separate about the PDK 911.

I got a couple of 8x10 glossies for the Panamera in the mail today. I scanned them for you viewing pleasure (or displeasure.)

The rear of the car looks terrible, but I like almost every other aspect of it.

Yes, those would be the forum members whose posts are titled "what do you think of my options list?" or "I love my tiptronic!" or "will these 20s fit on my Boxster?"

The brand has been steadily diluted ever since the introduction of the Boxster. Then when the 911 died a watery wet sump death, brand dilution kicked into high gear. The SUV and the Panamera don't bother me as much as the mainstreaming of their "sports cars."

That said, I never would have believed Porsche could design something as ugly as the Panamera.

In USA you don't pay atention to diesel engines...

What do you think about the new Cayenne diesel?

http://www.porsche.com/spain/models/...ndetail/drive/

Purist Porsche people think that diesel is for tractors

Porsche is a brand with the only point of view located to obtain profits.

Next project and rummors are a new urban Porsche in the same market segment of VW Golf , BMW 120 series ....

The rear could almost be mistaken for a Crossfire.

Oof. Those are fighting words in my neighborhood. Alas, pretty accurate.

Thanks for posting! Porsche seems to be very desperate! I remember the CEO Dr. Wiedeking saying some years back that there will never be a Diesel engine in a Porsche; guess he'll now say that Porsche started with Diesel tractors so it's logic to see a diesel Cayenne (which is a modern tractor anyhow).

Btw, Porsche had to close the 911 factory for an entire week last month due to over-production or let's better call it under-demand.
