I have a friend who uses them on his M3 with great success.
However after seeing the pricing, if I were going for a high end shock I'd go ahead and get the remote resivoir units unless I was trying to stay within some sort of class ruling that didn't allow for the remotes.

I put the JRZ RS on my '02 996TT and have been happy with them. I've got 600# springs front and 800# rear. I do alot of autox and some track and the setup works very well. I went with the RS because I didn't want to cut holes to mount remote reservoirs, but still wanted a good damper. You can't set the ride height extremely low - more like GT3 height. I have occasional rattle of the springs on the front dampers.
