Rattle in drivers door
I have this rattle, almost more like something vibrating in my drivers door. does not matter if the window is up or down.
And, no there is nothing in the door pocket
Any ideas? Going to pull the doer panel this weekend I guess.

I have the same rattle. There is definately something loose in there - it is driving me crazy. Very curious to what you find... how hard is it to take the door apart - what about the airbag?

Pull the two lower, rubber plugs in the door. They are located at the very bottom of the door and this is where the window tracks anchor to. See if one may of came loose, I think it is 10mm if it is loose.
Another rattle could be one of the cables for the window regulator (bowden system) is tapping the wall of the door.
I can't think of any other things that could rattle other than maybe the cable for the door lever but it is pretty snaked and secured to the inner skin.

I think I have the same rattle in my 01. Its not very loud, but persistent (and kind of "tinny"). My dad's old 02 C2 has the same exact rattle. Let us know what you find.

My worry is that the rattle is not in the door, but trapped in the body somewhere in front of the rear wheels... like, for example, a screw from a speaker...

No kidding, I think I need to upgrade mine to the new model though... and then get it hard wired. I have the older one that I forget to turn off or unplug, and it stays on all night.
I agree, the sound is most probably coming from the door. For what its worth, I read the Porsche TSB and sprayed silicon lube over the latching mechanism. It didn't help.
