Default Tire Wear Patterns - Left and Right Differences

The inside of the rear tires seem to wear the fastest. I have a significant difference in the wear on the inside of the right rear as compared with the left rear. I spoke with a shop which does alignments (not the shop where I had the most recent alignment done) who said that extra wear might not be an alignment problem, but may be normal due to the extra torque load under acceleration.

Just wondering whether others have noticed extra wear on the right rear.

Yes, on my non LSD'd 996, the right would wear way faster than the left. Normal.

What are you attributing this to? Not sure I am following your reasoning with LSD vs non LSD... My first instinct would be alignment, and only alignment. Occam's Razor.

Open diffs bias the torque to one wheel and wearing out one tire more than another is totally normal.

Limited Slip is also the best thing ever.

Open diffs are commonly referred to as peg legs, no?
