Default Design Key question

Hi everyone,

I know there have been many threads on this, but I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to.

I recently purchased a "911 design" key head from Suncoast, and followed the instructions they post for the product to the letter...

My question is that you'll notice in step 2, that they ask you to switch over the transponder capsule. What bothers me, is that in both my original key and the new key, the capsules had the tip (clear part) of the capsule, with the tip of the coil visible facing the battery, and the darker part (covered in paint?) facing the keyblade.

Now the instructions clearly state that the tip (clear part) should now face the key blade upon the switch—so I did just that, and finished up the rest.

Those of you who have done this mod...did you leave everything EXACTLY as it was in your old one? Or did you make the transponder tip facing the keyblade as the instructions said?

Unfortunately I won't have my car until Friday—it's at the dealership for service. I wish I could test it in the meantime.

Just thought I'd ask.

Thanks

I transfered everything exactly the way it was in my old key.

Try it like this first when you get your car back, if it doesn't - turnaround your transponder capsule.

It should work either way.
