Default 964 to 996

Just a quick introduction to the 996 forums.

I had a 964 and sold it to a fellow Rennlister a couple years back and it has since been sold again to "Cobalt" where he has added it to his extensive collection of intersting P-cars. Not a day goes by when I do not regret letting my first Porsche go so after much deliberation on what to replace it with I have purchased a 2003 996 C4S. I am awaiting delivery so I do not have any pics except for the ones posted by the previous owner in his listing. I will post pics as soon as I can so please cut me a little slack until then. It is Artic Sliver over Black w/ 28K miles and I will be the third owner.

Looking forward to becoming an active member of this forum.

Regards,
Ken

welcome back. Beautiful C4S. I see sport techno wheels, any other mods/options?

I have loved mine - wonderful car - and have found a ton of car club / auto-x stuff to do around Houston. In fact there is a SCCA autocross today as well as PCA concours in Seabrook. Also, check out urbanspeed.com, I don't want to be the only C4S there!

Ken,

Beautiful ride and great pictures! Welcome back - IMHO the 996 has more aesthetic lines than the 964 (likely to get disagreements...) I just picked up my '01 Cab several weeks ago and it only came with one key - I've been meaning to run off and get another key made, lest I lose the one I have and end up with a $40K sculpture in the garage... which really didn't bother me as much as it should...

Congrats and welcome!

Rudy

Malakas....
The car is stock (no mods)
6-Speed manual
According to the option decoder this is what I have come up with as far as options:
288 Headlight washer
288 996: Light washers
601 Litronic Headlights
680 Digital Sound
X97 Aluminium/leather shift ****
X98 Aluminium/leather parking break handle
XSC 996: Crest on Headrest
XRC 18" Sport Techno Wheel
Does anyone know what option "XRN" is... it is not recognized by the decoder?

Redridge...
That is correct, my 964 wound up with Anthony via Gary R and was highly modded by both of them.
