If this WAS a blown cat, woudlnt I get a CEL light? Thus far, I have not had one yet. I think I will have to take it into the stealership Monday morning

Not necessarily. The cat could be going bad, but it has probably not deteriorated enough to cause an O2 sendor CEL.

When was you car ititially put into service? Maybe you are close enough to the original "in service date" + 8 years that they will honor the emissions warranty.

I went almost 3 months with sound from the cats before the CEL came on, clattering like an old diesel by the end
