Default C4S Wheel Question

I need the size of the lugs that came on the stock 18" turbo twists on my 4S. Are they 17mm or 19mm? Also, what is the torque I should use for tightening up the lugs? Damn, I really am getting senile - I just realized I posted the first part of this question a couple of days ago.

Sounds like 19mm it is - and the torque to tighten? Probably asked that, too.

If you release the parking brake and put the car on level gound in nuetral, tighten the bolts till the car rolls.... its not anywhere near the right torque spec, but I thought your car might like to go for a ride.....

Ouch. Bought a torque wrench so I wouldn't actually have to drive the car.

I'm very used to it - just look at the hundreds of posts Wayne and Tim (Wellard and Gota911) have leveled at me. But, I can dish it out as good as I can take it.

I bought a torque wrench from Tire Rack - it seems to be a substantial tool, and was pretty inexpensive. Around $35.

Okay, obvious question Phil.

Why do you need to remove your wheels and re-torque them? Did the tires rot off of your car?

Maybe to prevent flat spotting by removing the wheel and turning it before putting it back on, that way you would not actually have to move the car

It's for the Audi! Wayne, you know that I have zero intention of switching out my wheels and tires until I run through the tread on the PS2's - which given my mileage should be in 2015.

Wayne, I swear I was thinking the EXACT same thing when I read Phil's post.!

Phil, as the "other Tim" (Gaspasser19) stated, 95 lb. ft for the torque. Remember, if you torque them too tight, the "little green 3/4 circle light" on the dash will illuminate! I knew I would be able to work that one in there, some how!

I know, I can see you reminding Phil of that until the day his C4S dies.

you guys are to much... we all know that Phil does not want to change the original factory torque on the lugs... it will no longer be stock if he re-torques them.
