Default Right side blinker won't stay on

Hi,
as a problem doesn't happen alone (see post below on tire) it just happened that my right blinker won't stay on... ie. when I actionate it before I make a right turn, the lever won't click and hold position. In other words, I need to hold it to keep it lit up. That happens only on the right side. When I pull the lever to make a left turn, it will stay on - and will actually stay in position even after I make the turn.
Did that ever happen to any of you? How do I fix this / expensive?

Thanks

there is normally some sort of a cam in the steering wheel that "trips" the lever. What can happen is that if it rotates, the cam will not be in a great position to trip one side and it may be out of range to trip the other side. I dont know this for a fact, but I bet all you have to do is get in there and find out if something has rotated. You might have to take it all a part, and put it back before you discover that some little screw fell out or came loose... I would search for steering wheel replacement type thread...

again, gl and gm

Mine did the same thing for about a month. I've heard from others it is a frequent problem. I always meant to get around to fixing it but never did. About a month after it started the left side would stick and click lodly to the point it felt like it would break. About a month later it did. Had to get a new stalk to fix. It might be worth looking at before yours gets to the point mine did. GL.

You need to replace the entire stalk in order to fix the little piece of plastic that broke inside. It's not tough but the wheel needs to come off and be replaced correctly. I think the part is around $150 and you need a deep 23mm? socket.
