SuperC.....you should also note that besides the sweeeeeeet streamlined look in the ****, it's a wider car by about 2.5 inches. Also, the car has big red brakes, the same as the turbo....ridiculous stopping power. It will come with full leather, bose sound, sunroof, the big air dams in front (which easily differentiate the car from other C2's and boxters), and a handful of other standards that are normally optional on the C2's.
So, yes, you are not alone in thinking the C4S is the best looking 996 produced. There are loads of us....and while I'm biased at this point, I felt exactly the same as you prior to my purchase.
Good luck, it's a buyer's market out there right now.

Funny how one guy I saw online had a name for each of his fine german automobiles (nina, gina, heather, jo, heidi,). Would love to see a bunch of what you guys have posted here too! And don't forget to tell us her name!

Like the rest I am quite biased... of course I absolutely love the 4S. Even after 6 months of ownership, getting something out of the garage is at least a 5 minute affair since I stare at the car. The drive is great too - I recently took it to my first auto-x (in this car) and it was a hoot. The B&M SSK is a must have - makes the car much more pleasurable to shift...
Good luck in your search. The Porsche pre-owned search is helpful, as is cars.com
