Thumbs up So long but not goodbye

After lurking on the 996 forum for the past four years I've searched and found a low mileage 997 that is CPO with almost four years of warranty left. Like a few of us, my '99 996 with 78K was starting to nickel and dime me. The last straw was a freon leak that led to the need for a new evaporator that would have been about $2800 to repair. I added up my maintenance costs and issues that were addressed, and it added up to about $8500 over the past four years. This doesn't include the clearlight upgrade. I don't know how that compares to the group here, but I didn't really think that much about it. I absolutely loved my 996, especially the mods and upgrades. Unfortunately it appears that the 997 doesn't go mod crazy. My wife told me I wasn't allowed to do any mods on the new car anyway. We'll see about that. The amount I've learned about these cars from this site is beyond belief. I would regularly tell my mechanic things about these cars he wasn't aware of. The camaraderie of the 996 forum will be sorely missed, and I whole heartedly recommend that everyone should contribute and be a member. I'll still be lurking on the 997 forum.
Thanks to everyone!
