Default Stupid Wheel Tech Question

I am obviously new to this! If I manually take my wheels off, what is the proper way to put them back on i.e. tightening 1 bolt and then the opposite bolt, etc? Do I tighten all the way, drive 100 miles, and then re-tighten?

I was also wondering if I should have a local shop properly tighten the wheels back on rather than doing it manually as I do not have any heavy-duty air tools?

Thanks in advance.

No air tool needed just a Torque wrench. Torque wheel lugs to 96 ft lbs in a star pattern and recheck from time to time.

don't tighten each one by one. do all of the incrementally from one to the other.

1. Tighten each bolt (cross wise pattern) hand tight while the wheel is the air.
2. Set the car down and tighten each to 96 ft-lbs (cross wise pattern).
3. Enjoy.

Air tools aren't required, but a torque wrench is to ensure you have the proper torque.

+1 on all the above info.

Always hand start every bolt to minimize any cross threading.
