Default Black alloys on silver 996 - pic request!

Just bought a 996 C4 Coupe facelift, silver, and the alloys need a refurb (18" turbo style) due to corrosion & scrapes.

Silver + silver = a bit boring (so I'm told...lol), and I've seen some tasty colour combos on GT3s, so I'm toying with the idea of having them sprayed black during refurb.

Anyone done this, or got any pics???

Cheers!

Don't thnk I've ever seen the turbo twist wheels painted black.

Personally I prefer a silver lip on black wheels, but of course that wouldn't work on these....

I have a black 996 with black rims...if you know how, I think you can edit the picture to make the car silver instead of black and that should show you what you are looking for...I would do it for you but I have no clue how, but I know it can be done...good luck!

Damned newbies think that they can just waltz in here and do as they please without so much as an introduction and posting a few pics.

Awe, you guys probably scared the little guy so badly that he will never post again! You guys need to be "kindler and gentler" to the Newbies, like I am!

Come on Newbie, post up the !@#$%^&*% pics!

Thanks guys, especially Derik!

I'll post some pics soon as I can combine dry weather, presence of digi-cam, and daylight (so sometime next century the way this summer's been here in the UK!) Just haven't had a chance to take any decent pictures since I've had it.

If I still have them on my HDD, I'll add some of my 'true' 911 love...black Manthey tuned GT3 I owned a couple of years back

Lol @ 'scared the little guy' (THAT'S a new one!) while I may be a Rennlist newbie, I'm a Porsche-addict and owned quite a few (with plans for plenty more!) so definitely not shy!
