Hey guys! Its been awhile since I posted...still looking to get into a C4S after all these years. Anyways, I recently moved to Austin for a short-term contract and saw this 03 C4S at a small dealer by my apt. Spoke with sales and everything seems to be on the up and up (i.e. service records, carfax, one owner). Asking price is low $30ks with ~91k miles. I do plan to get a PPI if I decide to pull the trigger on this one...but what less obvious issues should I worry about besides RMS?
Man, that thing has a great a$$. You don't worry about owning a P-car with that kind of mileage? Are you planning to use as a daily driver? Do you put lots of miles on a year? Sure is in good shape it looks like.
Maybe moving for work got you closer to you car. Maybe it was fate??
I would worry about how to get all that grease out of the interior.
Just about everything you need to know will be in the PPI. Make sure it includes compression and leakdown. There are a lot of other wear areas including all suspension parts at that mileage.
That is kind of a lot of miles for an '03, but if it was properly maintained not really a big deal.
Looks great, but why did they slather it with Armor All, geez, but you can bring that back.
If you also use it as a DD, you'll have really high miles, makes it harder to sell of course.
But I'd say it's great if you use it as a weekend driver and keep the miles low for a few years.
