Answers here are making me laugh so hard I fell off the chair.

Rejex on all painted surfaces. Zaino just as well. It's up to you. If you really want to work your butt off, use Zaino, and keep up with it.

On the other hand, if your paint is in great shape to start with, Rejex is perfect. I've used it for over four years on the C4S Cab, and the paint is 99% flawless. I tried Zaino on my '99, won't do that again. Way too much effort for the results.

The stuff works. That's why we carry it and I use it all the time.

...and Eric steps in to deliver the deciding (for me) answer.

Eric is the man (just got some awesome goodies from him)...

but Im a true Zaino believer. When I had a black car - it made the car look rediculous... On my C4S, it looks great too. I don't think its much work at all - except the first time you apply (because you should clay the car etc...) Plus, I like to support smaller businesses -- Sal Zaino emailed me back once on a Sunday morning. That's good service.

Here is a pic of a Zaino'd car - after about a month and 2-3 (dont remember) car washes, with NO re-application...

- not trying to picture *****, but the shine is very lasting~!

One thing to keep in mind: BOTH are excellent choices!

Try Rejex for $15 and see. If you don't like it after you use the bottle (about 4-5 applications or more), go to Zaino.

This is exactly what I did....still have 90% of the rejex bottle left. As I said prep. is everything and the car should be prepped properly (clay, wash, swirl removal...) before you apply the final materials (carnuba or polymer sealant) The prep is where the work (and time) is.

follow up:
7 hours of prep and cleaning later... I washed and dried w/ dawn (yukk), clay bar (again, I have done this before so it was easy), washed and dried, polished for any swirls, rinsed and dried, then started the real work...while putting on the polish and waiting for the cure, I removed each wheel (1 at a time) Cleaned the wheels inside and out ( I will tell you what I used, see what your thoughts are), wahsed out the wheel wells (careful not to get water on the paint) and washed the calipers.

Then I used Rejex on the wheels (inside and out) and on the calipers. (2 coats ea) I used Ziano tire dressing on the plastic inside the wheel wells ( I tried several things over the last couple weeks in small "test" spots and liked this the best) Ziano 5 and then 2 on the paint while I was working on the wheels...
This is a lot of work!!
results....

at first I wasnt too happy with what the ziano was looking like, but after a coulpe coats of the wax #2 it was looking pretty good, then I started to realize it was looking really good and even on the shallow section of the hood, I could NOT get my rags to stay put, they kept sliding off!!!

When my neighbor came over and was shocked how much better the car looked (said the black was even shiny in the shade) and my brother stopped by and said he thought it was looking really nice, that was proof.

long story, its not a one product fits all car, trying things that work for you is best. (PS anyone interested in some Griot's Garage stuff? LOL)

Wheel cleaner - I use "fast orange" hand cleaner. Cuts the brake dust instantly, smells great and keeps the hands clean...no hard scrubbing, simply wipe all the areas and rince...anyone have ideas on this?

Polish and sealant - sooooo much easier than the products mentioned above, and stunning results.

PPP application is a 10 minute task on a 996 - and no buffing afterwards - eaaaaaasy!

Results:

I'm with cdodkin on the Ultima, totally converted (but Zaino was much more intimidating back in the day, now with clear seal / AIO etc it's pretty easy and also walk away)

Prep is everything, starting with polishing, but that's once a year at most.

here's some pics, menzerna + ultima + zaino z8 on 911

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...light=polished

for evidence of prep being everything, here's just the polish on the MB
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/426609-couple-questions-on-random-orbital-polishing-and-waxing.html

PS rejex works, as seen hereon our poor A6 that spends a lot of time parked overnight on manhattan streets

And speaking of pics, Ivan? Pics? (where's tim?)

Rejex is easy to apply, easy to buff off and provides a great shine. But tell everyone you used Zaino.

boy no kidding, rejex is easy.. I sure spend a lot of time with Ziano...but as for today I like it, in time I will see how it holds up. The rejexs on calipers and wheels was way easy.... rain coming soon, then we will know!
