Joaquin - looks great! Absolutely worth the effort, and it will be much easier to keep that way now!

I'm finding the Porter is good for paint in reasonable condition, but seriously lacking after color sanding.

Yep - you'll need more power that a PC for that level of work

You'll need some sort of rotary polisher to take on that task

Absolutely, but not many can operate a direct drive rotary effectively, I've seen many professionals do a less than stellar job, and actually ruin good finishes. Always best to start on the safe end...

Ahh, if they ruin a paint job with a rotary: either they are not professionals, or the paint job is sub standard.

Unfortunately we have them too.
My front bumper had a good paint job last year.
At now It's plenty of little rock chips but I tried to disguise them with a Touch Up Paint Kit.

Materials I used to complete the detailing process:

Wash:
Sonax Gloss Shampoo and wool lamb glove 100% natural

Clean up (decontaminate):

Clay bar: Wolfgang Elastic Poly Clay

Polish:

The machine: Blaukraft

Step 1: Menzerna Intensive Polish PO 85RD3.02 + yellow foam (cut)

Step 2: Menzerna Power Gloss + green foam (polish)

Step 3: Menzerna Final Polish + blue foam (finish)

Sealant: Poorboys EX Sealant with Carnauba

Wax: Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax - Blue (ideal for dark paint)

(after sealant I waxed the car twice.)

It took me about 8 hours, but I have to say that my friend Fernando helped me in the polish procedure with the machine.
It's too hard.

Thanks everybody for the comments
