Default 01 996 muffler clamp fragility ??

my local independent tells me the 996 muffler clamp bolt is brass and thus is very fragile unless muffler is cool...any truth to this? Wnat to put on MKII Mod tomorrow.

???

I'm constantly switching between running Mufflers & bypass pipes when I visit the track and I'm still using the origional hardware without an issue.

If he's telling you to get a spare just to be safe it's cheap insurance in the event it's needed.

lie... def not brass. Its steel or stainless. Not fragile at all but the bolts used has a tendency to rust. Theyre cheap though.... in price that is.
