DRL xenons?

Is the DRL (daytime running lights) hack the same for xenons as it is for halogens? I did a search but came up empty handed. Need to get DRL's on a03 996.

Just found a post on 6speed, is it correct to join fuse 9 and 10 for Xenons?
Do we only have Xenons on the 03 996 or is there also a halogen low beam?
