Good morning fellow pork owners was just reading this morning threads especialy the one on failing 996 engines.... (wont be using that engineer at hartech) heheheh

now must go and figure how to remove top sheered caliper bolts ( would have been nice to have met the previous owner on my car ) id have killed him by now hehehehe
take care and thanks in advance.

Could just be that the last owner/tech didn't use any anti seize on the bolts
Suggest a high temp product like Copaslip when you re-fit to prevent it from happening next time.

Visual inspection will resolve this for the OP.
Porsche clearly do not recommend re-using the original bolts - but then they would want to sell you a new set.
Mute point here as the originals are knackered already.

thank you guys, yes in fact i collected the new ones today and in fact they not anodized black anymore just a putrid grey heheheh yes in fact porsche do recommend new ones purely because the temp changes does render them a little vulnerable and i can testify to that as both top bolts have shredded. Have ordered a stud extractor kit today also once that arrives i hope to remove the damaged ones then i can change discs and pads as was the original plan (fitted drop links today - easy as pie)
