Three Wheelin'
Installed in 2 minutes and looks good. The only thing I noticed is that the lid is now heavier and my struts won't keep it up. Otherwise it's a great piece.

Gator996-Adding any additional weight to the hood could cause worn struts to give, I'm going to assume these are oem. This is not typical for the 996, but obviously does happen and is a quick fix.

Yeah, the struts are on their way out after 13 years. Nothing to do with the liner although the frunk lid fell on my head so I briefly cursed the new liner even though it wasnt to blame.

My hood struts are also weaken like yours and the hood came down hard on my head the other day while I was removing my litronics, it does hurts, Oops... Time to replace those soon.
