I used to live in San Diego, and I took my car to All German Auto in Escondido - it was by far the best Indy I've ever been to.
They'll even have Enterprise rental car come and pick you up from the shop and they take care of the bill for you. Most Indy's don't pay for a rental car - so that's a big bonus right there.
I found them to be honest and they had great prices. I can't recommend them enough.
