Default 2003 Targa Question

The wife has a one off 2003 Targa in Ocean Jade on Nephrite with full carbon, it is gorgeous, but she doesn't like the perforated sunshade wants solid.

Has anyone attempted to remove the perforated sunshade and replace it with a similar solid cloth of any type...

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't think it exist - not to mention the removal of the screen will be a bitch - the motor parts are very small and hard to get to... I think it is perfect, blocks out enough sun rays while still providing some natural light..

I used to think the sunshade was perfect when I lived in SoCal. Now that I'm in Vegas, I think it is a little too anemic for the intensity of sun and heat we get.

Never heard of a solid cloth replacement, but IIRC Porsche says the 997 Targa sunshade lets 30%-ish less radiation through... perhaps a direct replacement? On the other hand, methinks this 30% less may still not be enough for LV or FL.

I looked into this myself, couldn't find a solid screen replacement anywhere. I would think you could have it made special if you really had to have it. Let me know if you find one.

I just tinted the glass with a high heat rejection tint. It is not too dark to let light in but it helps with feeling the heat through the glass...

Anyone know where this car is 12 years later? Sounds amazing.
