Yep.

Mine's the other way around though. I'm full on the dipstick and about 3 bars down on the digital gauge. I go with the dipstick reading.

Me to, FYI. Electronic is always lower than dipstick.

I had been using both the dipstick and the bar gauge. I became concerned when after 6,000 miles since the last change the dipstick showed no drop in oil level and the bar gauge was almost always at the top or at worse one bar below. So when at the shop I asked the tech to check the oil and saw he only used the bar gauge. I asked him why he didn't use the dipstick and he said the bar gauge is accurate and since 997's don't even have a dipstick he only uses the gauge. Good news is I don't have an oil use problem. he even quoted the 1 quart in 600 miles as normal use.

I use the electronic gauge, nearly every time I start the car.

Everytime (except when it the timer shows 54:24). If I would have waited 5 years for a 997 I would not even have a choice but to use the electronic guage.

OK, OK... I checked the electronic oil gauge every morning, prior to starting the car.

She must be having a happy run after she is warmed up!
