Default PSE Install question, help needed asap.

hello guys i received my pse exhaust and will be starting the install soon.

i WILL NOT USE THE SWITCH , it will be open all the time.i received several boxes withe clamps and pieces, i wanted to know if it would be a straight swap with the existing oem mufflers or will i need to use some pieces. i called porsche and they were not sure, before i start and run into issues it would be appeciated if someone can tell me what to do.

Basically do i just switch the mufflers and use the existing clamps? or it there modifications i dont know about, if that is the case i will bring it to porsche.

thank you

eric

Some of the clamps (for the cats) should come with the PSE kit. I reused mine.
The tailpipe clamps do need to be transfered.

There's a faq on how to do this somewhere, just do a search. I would recommend installing the switch but modifying it so you have full control. I run it loud about 95% of the time, but it's sure nice to have a quiet car those 5% of the time when needed. And it is a really cool feature that makes people go wow!

that switch is a waste of effort.

pse is loud only when you want it to be. use your foot and control it. ez.

I agree with Ben (and obviously, you, since you're not installing the switch) -- esp. if you have a coupe. However, there are times when I have the top down on the Cab that it really is nice to have the switch to quiet things for a while.
