Okay, so mine didn't look so bad before I painted them, but now I know that they will not rust... should I ever get caught out in the rain.

Yeah, that has been the problem for me. The can of paint sat on the kitchen counter all winter. I was glad to finally have some time to fit the job in this weekend... the combination of working on the car and the yard and I'm walking around as sore and stiff as a 70 year old.

Should not be a problem for me.

I was going to say that, but thought I'd better let you do the honors.

My car is disgusting and in need of a bath now. The combination of pollen and mud from road construction (in 3 places) on the way to work there's no hope of keeping it clean right now... I'll defer giving it a bath until next weekend.

Wayne, rgw top hats look good!

BTW - the above comment is pathetic... feeling like a 70 year old? Wait until you get as old as Phil.... (OK, OK... and me), then you will feel like 107 years old!

Perry, your top hats look good. Man, your rotors were the rustiest I have ever seen. Great improvement!

Yeah, I really have no excuse. I'm at the gym everyday, but a full day of jacking the car up and down and doing yard work and I'm walking around like... well, as you said, like Phil.

I was actually kinda annoyed as my torque wrench scraped one of my wheels (in two places) when I was setting the torque on the wheel bolts.

I need another weekend.

After reading this original post ---- I did mine last weekend. I used spray paint I had in the garage. Rustoleum --- Sterling Silver. Covered the brakes - Rotors and went to town. I also sprayed my lug nuts and locks with some Chrome paint I had.

Looks great. Thanks for getting me motivated.

Tell me about it. I wasn't happy - especially when I realized that I had an extension adaptor sitting in my socket set that I could have used.

Oh well. I cleaned the spot and put a couple of touches of clearcoat over the marks... sadly they are noticeable.

Hey, speak for yourself! Did yardwork, washed two cars, and ran 3 miles (3 more than the Porsche). And Wayne, we know I'm LOTS older than you! BTW, did you get the pics of my brother's cars I emailed you?
