I actually did this one by hand. The Polish was very easy to work with, and my paint was mostly swirl free. The main reason was that it was the first time I tried this product, so I wanted to take my time. The sealant is applied by just misting some onto a microfiber sponge and wiping a thin layer on the car - took less than 10 minutes!

You know Andy, I totally can vouch for that. My Boxster is GR, and often when I have it out, some stranger will walk up and pay the car a compliment, while rarely if ever get a compliment for the 996. In addition, I think there's some mojo working with guards red and a beige interior. Perhaps we can thank Ferrari for making that color combo a classic.

Detailed the car last night, finished up this morning, so I thought I'd share some pics. My photography skills suck, but I am very pleased with the results. I also installed clear side markers. I used the following (no affiliation, just what I used... this time):
Paint (Body and rims - after a wash)
Griots clay and Speed Shine
Ultima Paint Prep Plus Polish
Ultima Paint Guard Plus Sealant

rleeq and Carrera Mike - Thanks for the compliments!
htny - the Ultima worked great, minimal effort. Put the sealant on very lightly/thin, I had a few dried blotchy areas that I had to go back over where I applied it too heavy. I did a second coat the following morning.
pissedpuppy - try it yourself, it's relaxing, the right products also make a huge difference in time and results.
99C2 - I typically use all Griots products, tried the Ultima for polish and sealant. It worked great with minimal effort. I used to live in the Chicago area, and my mechanic lived in Cary. I am actually job searching in Chicago, maybe I'll be back...

thanks for the pic's never get bored looking at these things.
if it was Toyota's i was looking at, you would have to conclude i had a boring life - but these are 911's.
the clear side makers look good - should paint the bumperettes.

Thanks Cpa4S. I was initially on the fence about the clear markers, actually I didn't mind the pumpkins, until I saw another red 996 with the clears in person - that changed my mind. I have been considering the painted bumperettes, but I have a few other things to take care of first...
